Data we collect

We may process contact details, account details, shipping and billing details, order history, payment status, support messages, sourcing requests, newsletter subscription status, device information, cookies, fraud-prevention signals, and evidence of sourcing consent. Sourcing-consent evidence can include the accepted wording and version, timestamp, cart signature, relevant products, quantities, and price allocation.

How we use data

We process data to provide the store, fulfil orders, obtain Japanese-sourced products, document requests for immediate service performance, respond to requests, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and protect the store. Sourcing-consent evidence is processed because it is necessary to administer the order, establish the agreed service, and keep appropriate legal and transaction records. Marketing is sent only where a valid legal basis exists. Newsletter requests require confirmation by email before marketing begins. Newsletter emails are then sent on the basis of consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.

Order and consent retention
